In its 5th year, the Animals Rock fundraising festival will be taking us outdoors and into the countryside. Not only will they be supporting various animal charities, but they will also be supporting a number of local bands. With a range of great acts, such as reggae rockers, 7th Son, punskers, Reburn and Half Price, metal heads, V.O.L., as well as various other bands from numerous genres, we expect this to be a young, fun and educational day in support of a worthy cause.

If you are not going to come for the music, you are more than welcome to come for the rugby, the food (all vegan or vegetarian) or the sprinklers, which they promise will be turned on during the day. You are also encouraged to come for the charities, which include Capetonians Against Animal Abuse, Animal Rescue Organisation, P.E.T.S., the Caspian Alexander Trust and Beauty Without Cruelty. According to the Facebook page for the event, “Our main aim in raising funds is also to help raise awareness of how to treat strays and ferals. The most important message we wish to send out is please STERILISE your animals”.
