Flower Power Salad 10/26/11
With Spring comes flowers! And you can use them to create the most amazing salad.
Lexi is a true artist – she can take an everyday green salad and bring it to life by spending 10 minutes wandering around the garden picking whatever edible flowers are available. You would be amazed at how many edible flowers there are and what a difference they make to an otherwise ordinary salad.
Take your Everyday Green Salad ingredients
(A selection of: lettuce greens, rocket, spinach, sprouts, cucumber, tomato, avocado)
Add sliced red peppers and a mix of the following flowers:
Garlic chive flowers
All edible plants and herbs have edible flowers, though some may taste a bit strong and medicinal. In springtime, flowers should form a massive part of our natural diet, as they are truly abundant and springing up all around us.
