The first Gaia Food Market was a taste treat. Be sure to check out the next one on Sunday, 7th of August.

As I am sure most veggies will agree, going to a market where you can eat everything on offer without having to worry about milk, eggs or any other animal products is something special. While most food markets do have a few items available for vegetarians or vegans, it is generally slim pickings.

The Gaia Food Market had a diverse variety of goodies on offer – from soy cappucinos to olive pesto. Egg-free lentil and spinach pasta with tomato sauce and sprinkled with chopped nuts, healthy vegan pizza, Taiwanese veg wraps, chilli olives, dairy-free butternut lasagne, macadamia nut cheese, raw chocolate florentines, hearty vegetarian burgers, freshly squeezed organic juices… the list of veg deliciousness goes on and on. I will have to return to the next one to sample the many bites that I wasn’t able to fit in on the day.

Thanks for everyone who took their wares to market.

On that note, look out for upcoming Q&As with some local vegetarian, vegan and other green-minded food producers.
