Grow to Eat 04/07/16
Get practical advice on how to grow your own food in South Africa with this brand-new magazine.
The next time you’re at the plant nursery, keep an eye out for the brand-new Grow to Eat magazine. Published twice a year, Grow to Eat comes from the publishers of The Gardener and Die Tuinier magazines.
If you’ve dabbled at growing your own food like I have, one of the challenges is that there isn’t much locally relevant content. There are hundreds of American blogs, but not much from South Africa.
“With the edible gardening scene exploding in popularity, we felt that there was a need for expert advice on growing your own food,” said Kevin Beaumont, editor of Grow to Eat in the press release. “Our goal is to keep gardeners, especially those new to the scene, interested and motivated. It’s so easy to get demotivated with one failed crop, and we want to make sure that doesn’t happen.”
According to the release, Grow to Eat is “full of practical, down-to-earth advice from experts in the field, covering every aspect of home food gardening from planting to harvesting, and turning your harvest into delicious meals.”
Grow to Eat is on sale now at most major retailers and nurseries for R29.90.
