September's all-vegan Veggie Buntch Supper Club features a mouth-watering selection at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Cape Town.

Our upcoming Veggie Buntch Supper club features a very exciting and unusual menu with local and international flavours at Tobago’s restaurant at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Cape Town. Judging by previous experiences, with highlights including the Mount Nelson and Catharina’s, we can’t wait to taste Tobago’s specially created  all-vegan menu.

The menu:

Welcome Drink

Amuse
Black and white toasted sesame seed rolled Shari roasted red pepper and cucumber Uramaki with Japanese soya radish dipping and pickled Gari
Loose Leaf Japanese tea

Soup
Plum tomato consommé with crispy Potato flaked corn and Quinoa Cepelinai
Wine pairing to be confirmed

Sorbet
Rooibos and lemon verbena

Main
The Spice Train [Ed’s note: You don’t have to choose, you will get the chance to taste all of these!]
Punjabi Indian – Soya paneer Palak with tomato Chatni and Atchar oil
Moroccan – Chick pea and baby carrot tagine with apricot cous-cous and toasted almonds
Asian – 2 bean green curry broth with tempura emerald asparagus spear
South African – layered white polenta tart with waterblommetjie Cape Malay curry
Italian – artichoke heart, caper berry, calamata fruit and zucchini in Pomodoro sauced Amaranth Pasta
Wine pairing to be confirmed

Dessert
Raw chocolate and avocado tart with pistachio brittle and black berry ice-cream
Wine pairing to be confirmed

Price: R370.00 pp (including service charge) with wine pairing
R310.00 excluding wine (includes juice/soft drinks)

What’s this Supper Club all about?
The Veggie Buntch Supper Club is a dinner club for veggie-lovers who enjoy great food and good company. We kicked off in Cape Town in June 2012 with one Supper Club event per month.

Veggie Buntch Supper Club attendees will benefit from great specials and menus that are focused 100% on providing top-quality vegan or vegetarian cuisine. This is also a chance to meet other vegetarians and vegans in your area. It is also an opportunity for restaurants to showcase their culinary skills.
